Making a network secure against unauthorized entry increases both system uptime and system dependability, while reducing network management time and costs. Since the operation of a business is dependent on continuity of network services, locking out unauthorized entry to the network is an important business objective. We design and implement network security appliances such as firewalls, antivirus software, VPN devices, RAS servers, network scanners, Host and network IDS/IPS, internet proxy, and secured web infrastructure. Securing the network is fundamental, and diverse network environments – the campus, the data center, full service branches, and teleworkers have distinct security challenges. With strong defenses in place complemented with best practices (operations oriented), many events are detected and mitigated automatically, leaving fewer for security operators to react and manage effectively.
